ADAM ASHE

WHY ADAM?
Adam has experience the incredible power and potential that resides within. An understanding of his mind has completely change the way he plays the game. For many years, Adam believed he had to achieve a certain level of success in order to feel fulfilled in his life. But after experiencing a considerable amount of success as a professional athlete, he found himself feeling incomplete still, and began searching for answers. Adam shares what he discovered in his search and recounts a moment of clarity that shifted his perspective on the world. He now knows he can rely on the power of a free mind to fall into a flow state. Adam speaks to this freedom of mind, and the natural wisdom, connection and effortless leadership that continually comes through.

Adam is a professional Rugby player based in Scotland. He plays for the Glasgow Warriors and has represented Scotland at international level. Away from his day job Adam has always had an interest in the mind. As a young athlete, this interest was born out of wanting to succeed within his profession. Adam is still hugely inspired to achieve in rugby, although his interest in the mind is now more orientated around insight into our essence, innate health and wisdom. What is interesting, from his experience, is that both self improvement and insight into our innate health overlap in many ways.

NICOLA BIRD

WHY NICOLA?
“Nicola is smart, creative, engaging and has big ideas. She has had huge success in the online platform world. Often a level of success that others strive for. Yet when she got there, she realized that the ever-present push and drive continued to leave her constantly unfulfilled. Like many entrepreneurs she loves creating, building and growing herself and her ideas. It looked like success and fulfillment were two separate tracks in life. Yet as she started to explore more about our innate potential and true nature, she discovered she had it all wrong. Not only is it possible to continue to reach new levels of creativity, success and reach, but you can do it all with more ease, joy and satisfaction.”

Nicola Bird is the founder of A Little Piece of Mind where she helps clients find freedom from panic attacks, anxiety and stress. In in the course of her first year, this global platform has attracted over a million views from people around the world, her podcast has reached over 150,000 downloads so far, a Facebook Page with 26,000 fans, she has a Twitter following of 22,000 and Nicola has recently signed a publishing deal with Hay House and is launching her new book, A Little Piece of Mind this spring. She has coached around 2,000 clients both through online programs and individual coaching. Nicola is also a mentor on the faculty of Michael Neill’s Supercoach Academy. While these numbers are impressive and just the start, Nicola is most excited to let others know that the simplicity, ease and grace with which this has happened is completely different to the driving, striving and work-really-hard-because-then-you’ll-make-it she used to grow her previous software business. In Nicola’s words, “There is something different powering my business. Something truly awesome.”

CHRIS GAULD

"Chris is a truly entrepreneurial, driven individual with a flare for innovation. He is an inspirational leader, who has built award winning teams, with trailblazing educational and wellbeing programmes and totally rejuvenating communities in the process. Chris will share his highs and lows of running a fast paced business and how his understanding of his state of mind has helped him thrive."

Chris Gauld was co-founder of Spark, a business that would disrupt the heavily regulated utility industry, growing to £230m in revenue and a team of 450 people and featuring in Sunday Times Fast Track, Top Track, Profit Track and the FT1000 in consecutive years. In 2018 following a change in regulation, Spark restructured selling its energy, broadband and digital operations to OVO, a unicorn energy technology business. In 2019 Chris launched D3 by Equator Assist – a private equity focused digital agency providing pre-deal Due Diligence and post transaction transformation services for portfolio businesses. Chris has also retained a role with Ovo and acts as NXD and advisor to scaling businesses. Chris was Entrepreneurial Scotland’s Emerging Entrepreneur winner in 2016 and went on to be named both regional and national EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2016.

PETER MACLEOD

WHY NIALE?
“Peter has spent over 30 years in the public sector, working to make a difference. He is as passionate about care and support now as was when he first started out. He is ambitious for social care; he wants people in Scotland to experience transformational, world-class care that makes a real and positive difference to their lives.”

Peter joined Renfrewshire council in 1996 as an area manager, responsible for adult, children’s and criminal justice social work in a busy locality team. In early 2007, he was appointed head of children’s services and criminal justice for social work and the community health partnership. Later that year, he was appointed director of social work. Peter was honoured to become president of the Association of Directors of Social Work in 2012. In 2015, he became Renfrewshire’s first director of a new children’s services directorate, bringing together children’s social work, education and criminal justice services. Peter was appointed chairperson of the Technology Enabled Care programme board. He sits on the national leadership groups for child protection, early years and adult social care reform. He is also a member of the Ministerial Strategy Group for health and care.

JENÉE ARTHUR

WHY JENÉE?
“Jenée has had a long and rich career as a solopreneur. She is bright, open and enthusiastic and brings her creativity and amazing relationship skills to her work. Jenee has always followed her inspiration and as a result has had a diverse career. She would say that her ability to leap, “without a net” is innate. However, worry was often a companion and would keep her from experiencing more potential and fulfillment. It would keep her “small”. Since coming across this understanding, she and worry are no longer constant companions and as a result, she is accessing new levels of creativity, innovation and well-being.”

Jenée is the founder of Peripheral View Media and has navigated a solopreneur career for nearly 30 years by crafting written and visual narratives for her clients. Four years ago, Jenée took a full-time position with a company where she served as the right-hand to a high-profile company owner of a large firm serving the luxury market.
Today, Jenée is back out on her own generating and producing content in storytelling formats that offer fresh and unique perspectives.
